MBN foundation is formed in 2017 as a nonprofit organization with the objective of promoting skill for the students and promoting preventive education for cancer especially breast cancer.

Origins & Mission

Promoting Skills & Supporting Health

Skill development is a necessary input for the holistic development of anyone in all fields. MBN foundation is optimistic about bringing together the skills for the individual development and enhancement of one’s own ability.

Inspired by a life-changing event, MBN Foundation was established in 2017 in New Jersey, USA. Over the years, we have made our presence felt in the community through activities, cancer awareness walks, spelling bees, STEM research programs, and matching grants.

Madhavan B Nair, popularly known as MBN, is an entrepreneur who is always on the move when it comes to serving our community. MBN, a Chartered Financial Consultant by Profession, is a Graduate of Law, Finance and Management of University of Pune, India and Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania, USA.

He is founder and President of MBN Insurance and Financial Group since 1999.

January 9, 1982 - July 9, 2019

On July 9, 2019, our beloved Janaki Avula (Janu Nair), a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away at age 37 at her home in Chatham Township, New Jersey.

Janu was born on Jan 9th 1982 in Kerala, India to Madhavan B Nair and Geetha Nair. She received her BS Computer Science and Economics from Rutgers University in 2003, and worked at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and was the Director at CLS Group. On August 21, 2008 she married Mahesh Avula. They have a daughter, Nishika Avula.

Janu was a very fun loving, warm, vibrant, kind hearted and an ambitious person. She was a true fighter who always saw the positive side of things and fought a brave battle with cancer for the last 4 years. She leaves behind a lasting imprint on all her friends and family that got to know her.
